Rise and apply early is advice for potential firefighters
According to a release issued by Clark County, potential firefighters may want to rise early in the morning to apply for jobs.
Starting at 8 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, applications can be submitted online at at www.ClarkCountyNV.gov on the Human Resources Department Web pages. No more than 2,500 applications will be accepted for more than 60 positions.
If the maximum number of applications is not received, applications will be accepted through July 3.
Applications are only being accepted online.
Outreach sessions were held throughout the Las Vegas Valley in May and June for potential firefighters interested in receiving information about the application process, employment requirements, the testing process and test-taking tips.
The Clark County Fire Department is the largest fire department in the state with more than 600 paid firefighters and 180 volunteer firefighters responding to more than 120,000 emergency calls annually from 42 fire stations throughout the county. The department also provides inspection, investigation and specialized services such as search and rescue and swift water rescue.
