Next stop, Vegas.
Or so sings Sara Bareilles, who's coming to Las Vegas this Friday to perform at a rally with President Barack Obama.
The singer-songwriter is better known for her hit "Love Song."
But some lines in her "Vegas" tune might resonate more with some Nevadans, who came here looking to fulfill their dreams but now are "living under a sky that's falling," as she sings.
Nevada has the highest jobless, home foreclosure and bankruptcy rates in the nation.
And that's one reason Obama is visiting Las Vegas, to buck up U.S. Sen. Harry Reid, who's in a tough re-election fight. His GOP challenger Sharron Angle is running neck and neck with him in the polls, and so Reid needs Obama to swoop in to fire up the Democratic Party voters as people go to the polls.
The free rally starts this Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Orr Middle School Park.
