Shea buyers treated to amenities

With the interest rates at an all-time low and home prices increasing, potential homebuyers who have been on the fence are advised to act now, according to Ryan Smith, sales manager at Shea Homes at Ardiente, am active adult lifestyle community in North Las Vegas.

The community is announcing it will be making “a last call” on its 2012-priced homes before prices increase Oct. 29.

“Our prices will increase at the end of this month, so it’s time for homebuyers to act swiftly,” Smith said. “We believe in transparency, which is why we want people to know they’ll get the best price on their dream home if they buy now. They’re not just getting an affordable price on designer homes, but they’re also joining as a member of a luxurious community.”

For those who want to be in their new homes before the holidays, Ardiente has a limited selection of homes available. These quick move-in options, like the Florence and Venice models, are perfect floor plans for hosting family and friends, he said.

The Florence model is designed for entertaining with its kitchen that opens into a great room. Other highlights include a formal dining room and cozy kitchen dining nook

“The Venice model prides itself on versatility and privacy. The floor plan design allows you to easily convert the dining room into a lounge, game room or study,” he said.

The home also offers a guest suite at the front of the home and away from the master suite for extra privacy. Architectural details, such as an octagon-shaped office and extended curved bar area in the kitchen, make the Venice model memorable for both guests and homeowners, Smith added.

Ardiente is offering SheaXero technology on all new homes, which uses solar power and energy-efficient features to eliminate electric bills. While many builders charge as much as an additional $40,000 for homes with these features, Shea is including it in the base price for a limited time.

Close to the city, yet near the tranquility of the mountains, the gated Ardiente community offers residents an engaging lifestyle that includes a private 20,000-square-foot clubhouse featuring two resort-style pools, a fitness center, group exercise studio, multipurpose meeting facility and more.

Movie posters might soon be based on your clicks

You may have thought you left Blockbuster behind, but the basic way we browse movies hasn’t changed all that much.
