Southern Highlands to unveil Olympia Ridge Estates on Sunday

Southern Highlands Realty will unveil the neighborhood of Olympia Ridge Estates Sunday, said Mitch McClellan, president of Southern Highlands Realty. These half-acre lots are perched along the ridge lines and hilltops that surround the Southern Highlands Golf Club, offering views of the fairways, natural rock outcroppings or city lights.

These lots offer estate living in a 24-hour guard-gated community. The neighborhood consists of 110 home sites ranging from one-half to 2 acres, priced from $1 million.

All purchases include an invitation to join the private Southern Highlands Golf Club, McClellan said. The club was rated No. 1 in America by Golf Digest Index.

The membership (subject to approval) entitles the buyer to all the luxuries of Southern Highlands Clubhouse, and extends to Spa Southern Highlands, said McClellan.

“It has been exciting watching the hillsides of this community transform,” said McClellan. “This highly prestigious neighborhood will be unlike any other in the Las Vegas Valley.”

Featured along with the Golf Club is Spa Southern Highlands, which includes a 25-meter lap pool, private cabanas, separate children’s swimming pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, workout facilities and tennis courts.

To visit Olympia Ridge, take Interstate 15 to exit 27 and go west onto Southern Highlands Parkway. Continue on Southern Highlands Parkway to Robert Trent Jones Lane and make a right turn to The Estates Sales Center.

Movie posters might soon be based on your clicks

You may have thought you left Blockbuster behind, but the basic way we browse movies hasn’t changed all that much. We peruse poster after poster, kind of like walking the aisles of a ‘90s-era video store. That one poster image, meant to appeal to as many people as possible, is often all we see before […]
