IT TRAINING EXPO AND HIRING EVENT PLANNED JULY 30

Workforce Connections’ One-Stop Career Center, 6330 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 190, plans to host an IT Training Expo and Hiring Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 30.

Employers including DTT Investigations, Cox Communications, Stations Casinos, MGM and Robert Half Technologies are scheduled to be on site to interview candidates for information technology jobs. Job seekers who wish to be interviewed must complete a pre-screening process and are asked to bring a resume, transcripts and portfolios to share.

CONGRESSMAN TO BE GUEST SPEAKER AT HEALTH INSURANCE EVENT

RAINBOW COMPANY YOUTH THEATRE PLANS ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS

The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre plans student ensemble auditions for ages 10 to 17 at 1 p.m. Aug. 16 at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St.

The student ensemble program offers professional-level training for students interested in learning all aspects of theater.

Meetings and classes are mandatory, and students are required to work on all productions, either backstage or onstage.

SIGN-UPS START FOR CLASSES AT CHARLESTON HEIGHTS ARTS CENTER

Registration is underway for summer and fall classes at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St.

Summer registration is set to end Aug. 6 for classes scheduled for Aug. 6 to 30. Fall registration is slated to end Sept. 3 for classes planned for Sept. 10 to Oct. 18.

Classes include ballet, contemporary dance, hip-hop, ballroom dancing, visual arts, adult/senior theater and private lessons in music and dance by appointment. New fall classes include embroidery technique and traditions and dance choreography workshops for ages 12 or older.
