Workforce Connections’ One-Stop Career Center, 6330 W. Charleston Blvd., Suite 190, plans to host an IT Training Expo and Hiring Event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 30.
Employers including DTT Investigations, Cox Communications, Stations Casinos, MGM and Robert Half Technologies are scheduled to be on site to interview candidates for information technology jobs. Job seekers who wish to be interviewed must complete a pre-screening process and are asked to bring a resume, transcripts and portfolios to share.

WESTSIDE NEWCOMERS TO MEET AUG. 6
The Westside Newcomers Club plans to host a coffee event for prospective members at 9:15 a.m. Aug. 6 at Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church, 2004 Spring Gate Lane. The coffee event takes place the first Wednesday of each month.
The social club is for women who have lived in the area for 10 years or less or for those who have a life-changing event, such as retirement. It offers a variety of activities. A luncheon with a program is planned for the second Wednesday of each month.

The slated guest speaker is Mirta Ines Trupp, author of “With Love, The Argentina Family:Memories of Tango and Kugel.” In her self-published memoir, Trupp covers why her

MUSICAL ARTS SOCIETY SEEKING SINGERS
The Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society invites singers to perform the great masterworks with its 65-voice Musical Arts Chorus & Orchestra. Its 52nd season is planned to open with a concert at 2 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 McLeod Drive.
The chorus is set to accompany renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli for the sixth time on Dec. 6 at the MGM Grand. There are also openings in the 20-voice Musical Arts Singers choral ensemble. An audition is required for membership in SNMAS ensembles.

SINCITY DOGS FLYBALL TEAM TO HOST TRAINING
The Sincity Dogs Flyball team plans to host indoor meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays at 4221 W. Charleston Blvd. to train dogs for relay races. Any healthy breed dog with ball and tug drive is welcome to try out for the team.
Sincity Dogs is a nonprofit organization. Team dues go to pay hall rental fees.
