Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow is scheduled to host a District G neighborhood meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the administration building at Sunset Park, 2601 E. Sunset Road.
Attendees should enter Sunset Park at the Sunset Road-McLeod Drive entrance. The topics of discussion are expected to include Sunset Park and the new amenities being added, the opening of Terminal 3 at McCarran International Airport and its possible impacts on nearby neighborhoods and the Clark County Water Reclamation District’s proposed Paradise/Whitney interceptor project.
Representatives from several agencies plan to join the commissioner to address residents’ concerns. The participating agencies are to include the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department, the Department of Aviation, the Metropolitan Police Department and the Clark County Pubic Response Office’s Code Enforcement Division.

Summer camp set to start Monday
at Winchester Cultural Center
Art and Learning Camp is scheduled from Monday through Aug. 24 at the Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. Each of the camp’s eight weeks will focus on a different topic such as science, performing and visual arts, business development, reading and writing and team building. The cost of the camp is $76 for the first week, because of the observance of the Fourth of July, and $95 for the other weeks. Monthly payments are $342 for Monday through July 27 and $360 for July 30 through Aug. 24. Participants get a $39 discount if they pay upfront for the whole summer.
