Library set to get Smurfy

Health Card office relocates

The East Las Vegas Public Health Center has moved. The new office is in the same complex at 570 N. Nellis Blvd. but in a new space, Suite E-12. The center is open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and provides health card services, birth/death certificates, family planning services (by appointment), children’s exams (by appointment), women’s healthcare services and immunizations for adults and children. to host Town Hall Meeting

Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani plans to host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. March 28 at the Hollywood Recreation Center, 1650 S. Hollywood Blvd. County staff members and representatives from surrounding municipalities are to be on hand to answer questions and respond to concerns from residents. Children invited to guided nature walk

A 2- to 3-mile nature walk is scheduled from 9:15 a.m. to noon March 24 at the Clark County Wetlands Park, 7050 Wetlands Park Lane, near the east end of Tropicana Avenue.

The walk is part of a series offered on the second and fourth Saturday of the month. The walk on prepared trails is open to all but designed for elementary and middle school children and their parents.

Dodgeball competitions planned

Two dodgeball challenge events are slated at Sky Zone indoor trampoline park, 4915 Steptoe St., Suite 400.

The March Madness 3-D Dodgeball Challenge is scheduled at 7 p.m. March 23. The games are six-on-six with up to eight members per team. A minimum of eight teams is required for the competition to take place. The cost is $75, and the winning team will receive $150.

The Las Vegas Corporate Challenge is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. March 27-29.

‘Hunger Games’ Fans to meet and print

In anticipation of the March 23 release of the film adaptation of the young adult novel “Hunger Games,” teens are invited to participate in a craft event, printing on a T-shirt or bag, from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sunrise Library, 5400 Harris Ave. Participants should bring their own shirt to print, all other art supplies will be provided.
