‘Survivor’ casting call makes its way to Friendly Ford

Do you think you have what it takes to be the next "Survivor"? You can find out during the open auditions at Friendly Ford, 660 N. Decatur Blvd., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

CBS' hit prime time show is making its way to Las Vegas and Friendly Ford to see if you have what it takes to win. Get tough, pack up your courage and head to the dealership located just north of U.S. Highway 95 to audition for your chance to be a contestant on the show.

"Can you outwit, outlast and outplay the other contestants? We will find out," said Jason Davis, general manager of Friendly Ford.

"Survivor" experts are looking for those who are strong-willed, outgoing, adventurous, physically and mentally adept, adaptable to new environments, and have interesting lifestyle, backgrounds and personalities.

All contestants must be United States citizens and live in the United States. Additionally, contestants must be in excellent physical and mental health and authorize producers to conduct a background check.

Semifinalists will be required to complete and return in a timely manner a medical history form (to be furnished to the selected applicants). They also must undertake physical and psychological examinations and testing, which will conducted in Los Angeles by medical personnel selected by the producers, and meet all physical and psychological requirements. Semifinalists must have a valid United States passport.

To receive an invitation to be a semifinalist, each applicant must complete and return the applicant agreement package that will be furnished to selected applicants.

Applicants who are selected as contestants cannot be candidates for public office until after the initial broadcast of all programs in which they appear. Contestants must bring a filled out video release and waiver that they can get on the Friendly Ford or Channel 8 website, and bring a photo ID with them.

Contestants will have one minute in front of the camera and must be in line by 3:30 p.m.
