Teacher allegedly shows up drunk, pantsless on first day

An Oklahoma woman was arrested after allegedly showing up for the first day of class drunk and pantsless.

Lorie Ann Hill, 49, was a newly-hired teacher at Wagoner High School, 40 miles southeast of Tulsa.

A Wagoner sheriff said she failed to check in and went into an empty classroom.

She was discovered in the classroom by two other teachers allegedly intoxicated and without her pants, according to CBS Houston.

She was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. Police say she admitted to drinking before entering the school and found an empty cup smelling of vodka in her vehicle, but are not pressing DUI charges at this time.

“When our officers interviewed her she did admit to having had some vodka yesterday morning before she came to school,” said Wagoner Police Chief Bob Haley.

It remains unclear what disciplinary action the Wagoner School District intends to take against Hill.

Her pants were not located and she was given shorts.
