Terra Bella offers age-qualified condos

For Robert and Jeannie Larson, finding everything they wanted in a new home community at Terra Bella was like finding a hidden jewel. One of the first residents in the age-qualified luxury condominium complex, the couple decided to make Terra Bella their new home even before the models were completed.

"We have lived in Anthem since 2000, and love the area," Jeannie Larson said. "But our friends thought we were crazy for buying after seeing only the floor plans. Now that they can see the finished product, they don't think we're so crazy anymore."

The Larsons moved into their Santorini model in February. The two-bedroom, two-bath home has 1,551 square feet of living space with an oversized walk-in master closet, laundry room, living room, kitchen with a work island and an outdoor terrace.

"We really wanted to move into a condo," Robert Larson said.

"We didn't want a high-rise, but we definitely wanted an enclosed garage and elevators," Jeannie Larson said. "We were also looking for security. We travel an awful lot and wanted a place where we could lock the door and feel comfortable that our home was secure while we were away."

After 33 years in the United States Coast Guard, the Larsons spend much of their time traveling domestically and abroad.

Upon completion, Terra Bella will be a gated community located in the hills of Anthem. Each three-story building has a gated entrance that only residents can access.

Each floor overlooks a central courtyard that offers a landscaped area with tables and chairs for residents to gather and socialize.

"The courtyard was a pleasant surprise," Robert Larson said. "We didn't know every building would have one; we really enjoy it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the high quality construction in our home. Every appointment and fixture is high quality."

Another surprise was the first utility bill.

"Garbage pick-up and water are included in our monthly association fees, and we just pay the gas and power bills," Robert Larson said. "Because these buildings are built so well our utility bills have been very minimal. That was definitely an unexpected benefit of living at Terra Bella."

The couple said they enjoy utilizing the community's fitness center and clubhouse which include a work-out facility, entertainment areas and full kitchen.

Terra Bella is the only luxury, age-qualified condominium development in Anthem, a master-planned community in Henderson.

Terra Bella continues its re-grand opening celebration today and Sunday with incentives offered to homebuyers. For a limited time, the company is giving up to 25 percent discounts.

"We are passing the savings along to offer great values for these new homes," said George Trummeter, Terra Bella sales manager.

Blue Marble is also providing a 3 percent broker co-op. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

The complex's five floor plans range from about 1,400 to 2,200 square feet and include enclosed garages.

Terra Bella's sales office and model homes are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. To visit, take Eastern Avenue south to the entrance of the Anthem. Veer left at the community's entrance and continue to Hampton Road. Turn west on Hampton Road and look for the sales office on the left.
