The Cottages of Green Valley has added a new staff member.
Trudy Andrews, community administrator for The Cottages, said the continued upgrading is the addition of a new senior chef, who recently joined the Cottages after working with a major restaurant.
“The addition of this senior chef is an example of how we’re not cutting staff but adding to it,” Andrews said. “It goes without saying that the preparation and quality of food is very important and we feel that this addition is increasing the quality of services we provide to our residents at the Cottages.”
The facility, located at 2620 Robindale Road, is a single-story memory care and assisted living community. There are nine cottages, each with its own dining room, with no more than 12 residents in each cottage.
“The Cottages is a popular alternative to typical assisted living facilities as it has a more home-like environment,” Andrews said. “It’s not easy any time someone has to leave their own home. We work hard to provide a comfortable home for our residents.”
According to Andrews, The Cottages has worked to stabilize its rates for services.
“We recognize the difficulties this economy has presented and continue to do our best to give maximum value,” Andrews said. “The Cottages of Green Valley is owned and managed by Las Vegans and managing members Cadry and Donna Genena who have lived here for over a decade.”
