WORTH A DRIVE

  • The Gilcrease Orchard is closed for the picking season, but it plans to offer daily holiday sleigh rides from 3 to 8 p.m. through Dec. 24. The 20-25-minute rides take visitors to see Santa at the North Pole. Tickets are $12.50. Children 3 or younger ride free. Call 702-751-2747.
  • Snowmen in the Gardens, an exhibition of themed snow people and snow animals, is set to be on display through Dec. 27 at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. Admission to the Snowman Stroll is included with general admission. Visit springspreserve.org.
  • Sam’s Town, 5111 Boulder Highway, is scheduled to host its winter display at Mystic Falls Park with a 15-minute laser light show planned hourly during the holiday season, from 5 to 10 p.m. through Jan. 1.   • The Glittering Lights holiday drive-through is scheduled through Jan. 5 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The event is set to feature more than 400 animated lights along a 2.5-mile racetrack from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
