"Tape," by Steven Belber and directed by Jason Nino, is set Friday through Dec. 23 at the Las Vegas Little Theatre, 3920 Schiff Drive. Showtimes are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. The past comes back to haunt two former high school best friends during a 10-year reunion. The play toys with the concept of memory and how it can change over time. Tickets are $15 for adults and $14 for students and seniors. "A Little Theatre Christmas," the theater's third annual music celebration featuring 10 local performers, is scheduled at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Santa's Wonderland Village is set to be open through Dec. 24 at Bass Pro Shops, 8200 Dean Martin Drive. Patrons can get photos with Santa, make crafts and play free games. The village offers an old-time model train, remote-control trucks, a laser arcade, a soft-gun range and slot-car racing. New to this year's village is a talking caribou. A Holiday Shopping Escape event is planned from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Desert Breeze Community Center, 8275 Spring Mountain Road. Parents can drop off their children ages 6 to 12 in the center's care while they finish last-minute shopping. The cost is $20 per child and includes holiday crafts, treats and lunch. Worth A Drive

Linda Eder plans a free holiday concert at Symphony Park, adjacent to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, 361 Symphony Park Ave., at 6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are free but must be reserved. The Nevada State Railroad Museum's Santa Train is back with train rides every hour on the hour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and Dec. 15,16, 22 and 23. The museum is at 600 Yucca St., Boulder City. Tickets are $5 and are available at www.nevadasouthern.com.

The monthly First Friday arts festival returns from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday to the 18b Las Vegas Arts District. Many area galleries plan exhibits opening Friday, and several are also open for preview Thursday. This month's event is set to feature a holiday shopping bazaar and a winter wonderland with snow. The We Knead The Dough Gingerbread Festival is slated from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Jr/Sr High School, 2015 S. Hualapai Way. The festival is set to feature more than 40 gingerbread houses, 1,000 gingerbread people, entertainment, a pizza lunch by CiCi's, visits with Santa Claus, carnival games and activities. Admission is $15 and includes a gingerbread cookie-decorating kit, pizza buffet and carnival games. For $50, guests can decorate their own gingerbread house. Proceeds benefit The Rape Crisis Center. The 18th annual Shoes for Children shoe drive and benefit performance plans to present "The Threepenny Opera" by the Ira Aldridge Theatre Company of Nevada at 7 p.m. Dec. 11 and 12 at the Summerlin Library and Performing Arts Center Theatre, 1771 Inner Circle Drive. Admission is a new pair of children's athletic shoes sized to fit preschoolers to high school youths. Donations also will be accepted through Dec. 23 at Las Vegas-Clark County Library branches. The Solaris Dance Company, a senior dance group under the direction of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Dance Department founder Carole Rae, is set to put on a free Broadway on Paradise dance concert at 1 p.m. Friday in the room 133 auditorium of the UNLV Paradise campus, 851 E. Tropicana Ave.

The Nevada Conservatory Theatre is set to perform Tom Stoppard's play "Arcadia" at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Judy Bayley Theatre at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, 4505 S. The Las Vegas chapter of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is scheduled to host the unveiling of its "Hearts of Las Vegas" art exhibit, featuring 5-foot-tall hearts crafted by local artists. A Christmas celebration with warm beverages, music and activities is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 15 at Spring Mountain Ranch State Park, about 15 miles west of Las Vegas on state Route 159. The decorated Ranch House is to be lit up, and Santa is to be available for photos with children. The regular gate entrance fee of $9 per vehicle will be in effect.
