Tuesday is deadline for voter registration

Tuesday is the last day for Nevadans to register to vote if they want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 4 general election.

People have until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday to register online or in person.

To register online or to check whether you already are registered go to http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/vote on the Clark County Elections Department website. You also can call the department at 702-455-8683.

Those registering online must have a Nevada driver’s license or other identification issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles.

County residents can register in person at the Election Department Office at 965 Trade Drive, North Las Vegas, or at the department office on the first floor of the County Government Center at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway in downtown Las Vegas. Both offices are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Early voting will run from this Saturday through Oct. 31. A schedule of early voting times and locations is available in voters’ sample ballots and through the County Election Department website.

Voters may also cast their ballots on Election Day, Tues., Nov. 4, at their assigned polling place.

Voters who need mail/absentee ballots must submit a mail ballot request to the Election Department by 5 p.m. Oct. 28. The request forms are available at the Election Department offices and through the Election Department website.
