Woman arrested for putting skin shavings in roommates’ milk
A Maryland woman was arrested after her roommates claim she put skin shavings from her feet in their milk.
St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Cara Grumbles said Sarah Schrock, 56, was living in a rooming house with several other people, the Washington Post reported.
On May 4, after days of disputes with the roommates, they were at the house when they took out milk and poured it into three glasses. One of the roommates drank the milk, then coughed up skin and gagged, the Washington Post reported, and the other roommate likewise began gagging and coughing up skin.
Another roommate did not drink the third glass of milk.
After the milk was filtered, they discovered what looked like skin shaving Schrock reportedly kept in trays in her bedroom. The skin shavings were from her feet.
A roommate told Southern Maryland Newspapers Online she had dry feet because of diabetes.
Schrock was arrested and charged with contaminating food or drink, which is a felony, as well as second-degree assault. According to the Washington Post, she was released shortly after her arrest.
