David and June Merzanis have traveled the world, but they choose to live at Fairway Hills in The Ridges by Toll Brothers, a townhome community within Summerlin. Upon the couple’s return from their fifth trip to Greece, the Merzanis said they discovered a charming, picturesque, European-like village right here in Las Vegas.
“Fairway Hills in The Ridges is the ideal destination for us to live,” David Merzanis said. “Now that I’m retired, we plan to do more traveling. Summerlin is a beautiful place to call home and the ‘lock and leave’ lifestyle is just right for us.”
The Merzanis, who have lived in Las Vegas for 15 years, moved from a higher maintenance, larger home.
For their new Fairway Hills home, they selected the two-story, 2,682-square-foot Gleneagle plan.
The Gleneagle features a covered entry that leads to the home’s two-story foyer and interior courtyard. The first floor has a great room that flows into the kitchen.
The home has three bedrooms and 31/2 baths. It also includes a downstairs master suite and two large bedrooms upstairs, one of which has a sunny sitting area.
Well designed for entertaining, the 400-square-foot, second-floor bonus room also has a wet bar.
“We bought some new furniture and designed the interior to our liking,” Merzanis said. “It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful setting.”
Merzanis said that while he and his wife June like to travel, they also frequently partake in Las Vegas attractions.
“Las Vegas has some of the best entertainment and best restaurants in the world. And Summerlin, of course, is a world class community.”
Toll Brothers townhomes at Fairway Hills in The Ridges range from 1,966 to 2,956 square feet and are priced from $606,975.

Fairway Hills is located on Jack Nicklaus’ Bear’s Best Las Vegas golf course, which showcases some of the most challenging holes from the legendary golfer’s desert-themed courses.
Nestled alongside the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, The Ridges is located south of Desert Inn Road and west of Flamingo Road.
At an elevation of more than 3,200 feet, The Ridges neighborhoods are designed to complement the natural desert terrain. For more information call 308-1110 or visit Tollbrothers.com.
