YOUR WEEKEND: Attend a hot rod show Sunday, celebrate tequila Friday

Silver Stone Golf Club and Las Vegas Hot Rog Girls will host the Rev It Up car show from 1 to 7 p.m. July 26 at the golf club, 8600 Cupp Drive.

The event is a tribute to hot rodder Roy DeLaney (1940-2008), whose wife, Jackie, will bring a few cars from his collection. Food and beverage stations featuring food from around the world will be available at the event for purchase. Musical acts Billy 5 Star, Big Fev and Poverty’s Backyard are slated to perform. The Centennial HIlls Rotary Club will sponsor a raffle for a ’66 Blue Corvette.

The event is open to all years, makes and models of classic vehicles, but is limited to 50 entries.

Celebrate all things tequila in honor of National Tequila Day

Camacho’s Cantina in Aliante Station, 7300 Aliante Parkway, will host a celebration of all things tequila on Friday, July 24, in honor of National Tequila Day. The cantina will feature more than 130 tequilas from its standard collection, including Patron, Jose Cuervo, Don Julio and Cazadores. Select premium tequilas also will be offered at special one-day-only prices.

Representatives from various brands also will be hand to discuss distillation methods and flavors. Premium tequilas to be available at special prices include Don Abraham, Dos Manos, Don Camilo, Herencia Mexicana, Certeza, Luna Azul, Cielo and Frida Kahlo. Cost is $4 for tequila blancos, $5 for tequila reposados, $6 for tequila anejos and $14 for a flight of three tequilas.

Camacho’s Cantina is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit
