Easter-themed outings are among spring break week interpretive programs planned by the U.S. Forest Service on Saturday at the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area.
- 11 a.m. — Holiday Exploration: Increase your observation skills in preparation for Easter egg hunting. Hunt for bunnies in the pinyon juniper forest.
- Noon — Junior Ranger Program: Junior rangers will learn how to care for the forest by learning about fire management, hiking safety, litter and research
- 2 p.m. — Holiday Exploration: Increase your observation skills in preparation for Easter egg hunting. Explore a wash to investigate springtime snow melt.
Programs are free, and reservations are required. Groups of 10 or more can make reservations for programs for additional times and dates during spring break.
