Spencer Gallagher posted his career best finish in last weekend’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol, Tennessee. The second-year driver from Las Vegas started ninth and finished fifth. NASCAR releases 2019 schedule

NASCAR has released its 2019 Cup Series schedule. It is exactly the same as the 2018 schedule. Every race will be back on the same weekend. Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s two race dates are March 3 and Sept. 15. The September race will once again open the NASCAR playoffs. The only thing that changes in 2019 is the off weekend for Easter. NASCAR will announce its Xfinity Series and Truck Series schedules at a later date.

Kevin Harvick penalized after Las Vegas win

Kevin Harvick dominated Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He led a track record 214 of 267 laps. But there was a small problem. His rear window bowed during the race after a brace failed. NASCAR docked Harvick seven playoff points, fined his crew chief and suspended his car chief. The Stewart-Haas Racing team said it will consider options before submitting an appeal.

Fans turn out for a pep rally for the Ultimate Vegas Sports Weekend in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena’s Toshiba Plaza. The Nascar triple-header weekend, the USA Sevens Rugby tournament, the Vegas Golden Knights vs. the Ottawa Senators and UFC 222 will all take place this weekend.

NASCAR Hauler Parade returns to Las Vegas

Get ready, NASCAR fans, the Hauler Parade is returning to the Las Vegas Strip. The Hauler Parade, which will feature about 40 brightly colored 18-wheeler trucks, is back for this year’s NASCAR weekend. Beginning at 6 p.m. March 1, the haulers will make their way up Las Vegas Boulevard from the south end of the Strip to Sahara Boulevard then proceed to Interstate 15 to head to the speedway. NASCAR Weekend officially kicks off March 2 with the Stratosphere Qualifying and the Stratosphere 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck series.
