An entire class of schoolchildren reportedly died in the fire. Some of the children called their family to say goodbye, before dying in the fire. “We are burning, perhaps this is goodbye.” A child victim wrote on social media Investigators said there was no alarm and exists were blocked.

Argument turns deadly in east Las Vegas

A man was killed after being shot in the face during a Monday morning argument in the 100 block of Sacramento Drive. A man and woman were arguing outside the home when the woman drew a gun and shot the man in the face, police said. The man died at the scene. Police have identified the woman, who was an acquaintance of the man who died, and are searching for her.

Domestic dispute leaves 1 dead, another clinging to life

An early Monday morning argument has left one man dead and a woman in the hospital. A roommate heard that the pair were arguing and asked a friend to check on the couple at the Woodhaven apartments on Stober Boulevard. The couple were found with gunshot wounds to their heads. The man died at the scene and the woman was hospitalized, police said, adding the woman shot herself. Police could not confirm who shot the man, but were investigating the shooting as a domestic incident.
