Breeder’s Cup 1 3/8-mile Filly and Mare Turf: Saturday at Churchill Downs

European horses are likely to dominate the ninth race on the Breeder’s Cup program, and the fourth on Saturday’s card. But the handicappers are looking at some American horses to include include in their bets without ignoring, “Euros win turf races.”

Hundreds of people marched through downtown Las Vegas on Saturday as part of the Empowering Women March 2020. The event coincided with the annual women’s marches that began in 2017 as a protest of President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Many marchers wore pink hats or shirts, chanted and carried signs as the group snaked from Fremont Street up Ninth Street, then along East Ogden Avenue and finally down Las Vegas Boulevard to the Lloyd D.
