Cooler temps give Las Vegas Valley its ‘first taste of fall’

Updated September 15, 2017 - 10:10 pm

Below-normal temperatures are expected in the Las Vegas Valley this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

“You could say it’s our first taste of fall,” meteorologist Clay Morgan said. “Maybe not what some people would call fall, but what we call fall.”

Friday’s high was 90, the weather service said. The average high temperature for this date is 95.

Saturday and Sunday will see 91-degree highs, the weather service said. The high temperature is expected to hit 93 degrees on Monday before it dips again to 89 degrees on Tuesday.

No rain is expected this weekend, the weather service said.
