Expect temperatures in the 90s and no rain this week

The Las Vegas Valley is expected to heat up throughout week.

The valley saw some showers, partly cloudy skies and a high temperature of 77 degrees on Sunday, National Weather Service meteorologist Andy Gorelow reported.

No rain is forecast for this week, he said.

Monday and Tuesday are expected to see high temperatures in the 80s and lows in the 60s, Gorelow said.

From Wednesday to Friday, sunny skies and high temperatures in the 90s are expected, the weather service said.

Friday’s high temperature is likely to be 97 degrees — 10 degrees above normal, Gorelow said.

There is a chance the valley could see its first 100 degree day come Friday, meterologist John Salmen said.
