Las Vegas temperatures are forecast to increase this week, according to the National Weather Service.
The weather service noted, however, that uncertain humidity levels in the Las Vegas Valley could affect forecast temperatures this week, causing them to rise or fall depending on humidity.
Sunday hit 105 degrees, with winds about 20 mph.
Monday’s forecast high is 106, meteorologist Jim Harrison said.
Tuesday, Independence Day, is expected to be warm and sunny, with a forecast daytime high of 108 degrees and an overnight low of 84 degrees.
Temperatures are forecast to rise Wednesday and Thursday, with highs expected to reach 110 degrees, Harrison said.
The weekend’s forecast high is about 111 degrees. There is also a possibility of monsoon season beginning Friday or Saturday, according to Harrison.
