Unseasonably warm weather will stick around through next week, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday should see a high of 83 degrees, which is about 15 degrees above normal, and an overnight low of 58 degrees. Skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with occasional high clouds filtering in.
“Not a lot of variation” is forecast in the valley’s temperatures through next weekend, meteorologist John Adair said. Forecast highs in the mid-80s with overnight lows in the 60s are expected.
Temperature highs in the Las Vegas Valley could come near record-breaking levels — between 86 and 91 degrees for this time of year — on some days next week, Adair said.
The weather service said the high temperatures can be attributed to a high pressure system above the valley and little to no wind over the next few days.
“It’s looking like a pretty long stretch of dry and mild weather,” Adair said.
