Warm weather to continue into workweek

Las Vegas Valley can expect to see clear skies and warm weather throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Sunday saw a high temperature of 85 degrees and a low of 58 degrees, meteorologist John Salmen said.

Temperatures in Nevada have been higher than average, approaching record highs but still falling just a few degrees short, the weather service said.

Temperature highs for Monday through Thursday are expected to be 86 degrees, and lows are expected to be in the 60s, Salmen said.

There may be some 10- to 20-mph winds on Tuesday in the north part of the valley, Salmen said.

The valley is expected to have sunny skies until Wednesday, then clouds will develop, he said.

By Friday, the valley will start to cool down again with an expected high of 76 degrees, and a chance of showers heading into the weekend, the weather service said.
