Warming trend to take Las Vegas highs into 90s by weekend

Temperatures should return to near normal in the Las Vegas Valley by the end of the week as a slow warming trend takes hold.

Monday should be mostly sunny, with a high of 80 degrees, the National Weather Service said.

Tuesday and Wednesday’s highs will be 82 and 86, respectively, followed by a high of 88 Thursday, it said.

Forecast highs will break into the 90s by the weekend, according to the weather service. Friday is expected to reach 90 degrees, while Saturday should be near 93 degrees.

The normal temperature for this time of year hovers around 88 degrees, meteorologist Caleb Steel said.

“It’s just a quiet week in Las Vegas,” he said.
