Windy conditions are expected to continue until the weekend in the Las Vegas Valley.
Breezy afternoon winds gusting between 20 to 30 mph will sweep the valley Tuesday and Wednesday, the National Weather Service said. The high on both days will reach 91 degrees.
Cooling will begin Thursday, meteorologist Caleb Steele said, when the valley sees a high near 83. Winds also will slightly pick up, with gusts up to 35 mph.
On Friday, the first day of the three-day Life is Beautiful music festival in downtown Las Vegas, the high is expected to drop below 80 for this first time since May 18. Festivalgoers can expect a 78-degree high Friday and Saturday, followed by a forecast high of 79 on the last day of the festival. Nighttime lows this weekend will be in the upper 50s, the weather service said.
No rain is expected in the valley through the week.
