Residents can expect cooler temperatures throughout the Las Vegas Valley this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Winds in North Las Vegas reached 40 mph Friday, while winds in the valley remained around 35 mph, meteorologist Barry Pierce said.
While Friday saw a high of 84 degrees, Saturday is expecting a high of 76 degrees and Sunday 78 degrees. The reason for the slight dip in temperatures is the wind being brought in from northern California and Nevada, Pierce said.
Winds are expected to continue through Saturday and drop down to a light breeze Sunday. Highs throughout next week should stay in the low 80s.
