Apple Maps now offers indoor maps for Las Vegas airport

Apple Maps won’t just tell you where McCarran International Airport is.

The software now provides indoor maps for the Las Vegas airport, allowing users to view terminals, security checkpoints, baggage claim, stores, restrooms and other areas, MacRumors reported this week.

Other websites, including AppleInsider, also reported the development.

Google Maps offers a similar feature.

Apple Maps is slowly introducing the feature as part of the company’s iOS11 operating system on smartphones. Users can also peek inside airports in Chicago, Baltimore, Miami, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Philadelphia, Oakland, San Jose and Portland.

Apple announced that indoor maps will eventually be available for additional airports in Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, Toronto, Vancouver, London and Amsterdam, MacRumors reported.
