Council grants Intrepid Gaming temporary license to run casino
Intrepid Gaming LLC has been granted a temporary business license by the Henderson City Council to operate the Casino MonteLago at Lake Las Vegas.
The property was closed March 14, 2010, costing 177 casino employees their jobs.
In mid-February, Las Vegas-based Intrepid Gaming applied for a nonrestricted gaming license and a liquor license. The Nevada Gaming Commission has not approved the gaming application so far.
A reopening of Casino MonteLago would continue a rebound for Lake Las Vegas. Dolce Hotels and Resorts opened the 349-room Ravella in the community in February.
