A crowd turned out on Wednesday for the grand opening of Albertsons at 1940 Village Center Circle in Las Vegas.
The neighborhood had been without a full-service grocer since Nov. 17, when Haggen closed in the location.
Trails Village Shopping Center Co., owner of Trails Village Center, recently invested more than $3 million to purchase the store lease through Delaware federal bankruptcy court proceedings.
Albertsons will be the center’s third anchor store in nine months, following Vons and Haggen. At least three other chains said they wanted the 56,660-square-foot space.
The new Albertsons features a designer floral showroom, a produce department, a high-service meat department, expanded bakery, deli and cheese department, expanded wine and craft beer area and full-service sushi counter.
Cory Booth is store director.
