Former North Las Vegas mayor takes job with real estate firm
Former North Las Vegas Mayor Michael Montandon has accepted a position as local managing director of Voit Real Estate Services. He will oversee commercial real estate services on behalf of area investors, banks, financial institutions and special servicers. Newport Beach, Calif.-based Voit Commercial is a privately held firm with 200 employees that has completed more than $33 billion in brokerage transactions since 1971.
Montandon most recently worked as government affairs director at Core Construction, which is a private general contractor best known for building schools. He was a gubernatorial candidate on the Republican ticket in 2010. Montandon also served three terms as mayor of North Las Vegas, from 1997 to 2009.
Montandon is on several local boards, including the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson, Bank of North Las Vegas and the Las Vegas chapter of NAIOP, a commercial real estate trade group.
