Fresh & Easy opens southwest Las Vegas store
Grocery chain Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market opened a new store Wednesday at Cactus Avenue and Decatur Boulevard in southwest Las Vegas.
The store of about 10,000 square feet hired 20 to 30 workers from the local area as staff. The company provides opportunities for all employees to work at least 20 hours a week, so they’re entitled to health insurance and other benefits. Pay starts at $10 an hour, with a potential quarterly bonus of up to 10 percent.
Robbie Mulvaney is the store’s manager.
Company officials say the store emphasizes high-quality, fresh food at budget prices, and also recycles or reuses all of its shipping and display materials and transports food in environmentally friendly trailers.
As part of its grand-opening celebration, Fresh & Easy donated $1,000 to the Southern Highlands Boys & Girls Club to support the nonprofit’s neighborhood efforts. The company chose the charity from neighborhood nominations made through its website.
Fresh & Easy operates more than 20 stores across Southern Nevada.
