Interjet to become third Mexican airline to fly to McCarran
Starting Nov. 15, Interjet will become the third Mexican airline to fly to McCarran International Airport.
The carrier will fly twice a week to Toluca Airport, Mexico City’s second airport, on Thursdays and Sundays. It had received U.S. Department of Transportation approval for the service in August and began posting promotions on its website last week but issued the formal announcement Tuesday morning.
AeroMexico and Volaris already fly between Las Vegas and Mexico City 24 times a week but go to Mexico City’s main airport.
Interjet ranks itself as Mexico’s second-largest carrier for domestic traffic after AeroMexico. In recent months, it has begun adding U.S. destinations, with Las Vegas being the fifth.
