Local Realtors recognized for their achievements
The Nevada Association of Realtors named Kolleen Kelley, an agent with Golden Real Estate and Investments and a past president of the local association, as its 2014 Realtor of the Year.
Other honorees include: Dave Tina, corporate broker of Urban Nest Realty in Las Vegas, who won the Nevada Distinguished Realtor award for ongoing and consistent service to the association and the profession.
Kenneth Gragson of the Las Vegas firm of Barrett &Co. earned the Realtor Active in Politics Award for government affairs advocacy and activities.
Patty Kelley of Kelley &Associates in Las Vegas won the Joe Nolan Award recognizing spirit, passion and professionalism in serving fellow Realtors.
And Scott Beaudry of Universal Realty in Las Vegas received the Realtor Achievement Award for outstanding service to state and local associations.

Property brings $9.1 million
Brokers with Voit Real Estate Services helped close a significant investment deal.
Kevin Higgins, Garrett Toft and Zac Zaher directed the $9.1 million sale of a 147,903-square-foot, multitentant industrial property at 4301 and 4325 S. Valley View Blvd.
The team represented the seller, Terra Grandis LLC and Tiberti Co.
The buyer, BKM Capital Partners LP, intends to stabilize and reposition the property, Higgins said.
“This asset is in an excellent location and was in need of a large capital commitment in order to address some deferred maintenance,” he said. “BKM Capital Partners will rebrand the project and reposition vacant suites into the lease-ready units the market has grown to expect. Given the proximity to the resort corridor and the strong rebound underway in the local economy, BKM Capital Partners should have no problems stabilizing the asset.”

Burke reappointed
Kevin Burke, president and CEO of Burke Construction Group in Las Vegas, was reappointed to the Nevada State Contractors Board, which regulates and rules on issues that affect the building sector.
Burke, who has led the firm since 2001, is also a member of the board of directors of the local chapter of Associated General Contractors and other professional organizations including NAIOP Southern Nevada and the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance.
