Nevada unclaimed property list to be published on Wednesday
It’s that time of the year again — the annual unclaimed property list for Nevada will be published by the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Wednesday.
Unclaimed property varies and can range from uncashed payroll checks and gift cards to assets left in safe deposit boxes at banks or hotels. It does not include real estate, taxes or vehicles.
After attempting due diligence, businesses that are unable to make contact with the beneficiary turn over the information to the state.
The list includes the last known name and address.
Owners may file a claim online at nevadatreasurer.gov/unclaimed_property/file_claim or in person at the state treasurer’s Las Vegas office located at 555 E. Washington Ave., Suite 4600.
Assistance is also provided over the phone, and there is no time limit to claim property.
A previous Las Vegas Review-Journal story incorrectly listed the publication date as Tuesday.
