Popular Korean grocery chain set to open in Las Vegas
Signs point to a new H Mart in the Las Vegas Valley.
The popular Korean grocery chain is showcasing banners touting its expected arrival outside of a building at the southeast corner of Sahara Avenue and Decatur Boulevard.
The interior of the location, 2620 S. Decatur Blvd., is currently empty and the signs did not announce an opening date.
H Mart did not comment on an opening date, but said any grand opening announcements could be found on its website. The company did not mention its Las Vegas store on its website, as of Monday evening.
The opening of the store will add another Korean grocery store to the valley — competing with Greenland Supermarket, which opened in 2009, near the northeast corner of Spring Mountain Road and Rainbow Boulevard.
H Mart joins several tenants at the Sahara Pavilion South shopping center such as Xplozone Trampoline Park, Avalon Institute and Chase as well as Einstein Bros. Bagels, Starbucks and Chipotle.
H Mart started in 1982 in New York City and it has more than 75 locations in 14 different states, according to the company’s website.
It offers a variety of products such as produce, packaged goods, beauty products and even home and kitchen items.
