One dead, one injured when hit by car
An elderly woman died and an elderly man was injured when they were hit by a car Friday night, police said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, on 13th Street just south of Carson Avenue, police said.
The man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition following the 7:30 p.m. incident.
Police did not have any immediate details about the vehicle, and did not release names of the victims Friday night.
