Security guard stabbed during clash at Savers store
A suspected shoplifter stabbed a security guard several times during a confrontation at a central valley Savers on Thursday, according to Las Vegas police.
Police said the suspected thief got into a struggle with a security guard about 4 p.m. at the Savers on Charleston Boulevard near Maryland Parkway. The guard was stabbed several times and taken to an area hospital in serious condition, Metro supervisor Lt. Will Huddler said.
Patrol officers were still searching for the suspect Thursday evening. Additional information was not immediately available.
