Shoe In: Check out the new Christian Louboutin boutique now open at the Forum Shops at Caesars. The designer’s uber popular shoes and accessories are elegantly presented and the growing men’s collection is available in its own separate room.
By Design: Working in tandem with the Art Institute of Las Vegas, the Forum Shops at Caesars hosts a search for Las Vegas’ Best New Designer. Interested designers can apply exclusively at the Forum Shops’ Facebook page, facebook.com/ForumShops. Aspiring designers can share their story and upload a video or photos to vie for the top spot. The top designer will get a $500 shopping spree to the Forum Shops and have their work highlighted inside the shopping destination.
A to Zoe: Neiman Marcus has launched a fun, interactive Facebook challenge featuring the new Rachel Zoe collection, Oh So Zoe. The winner will meet Zoe and Ken Downing, Neiman Marcus fashion director at the L.A. store and receive a $1,500 Neimans gift card. Good Cause: It’s All About Kidz is holding a fashion show to raise money for a sober living home for mothers whose children are placed in foster care. The fashion show is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Yayo Taco at 4632 S. Maryland Parkway, #18. Versace, Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and other luxury designer products will be auctioned off, too.
Clean Conscious: Tiffany Couture Cleaners is one of a few select dry cleaners in the world to implement an entirely environmentally friendly system. Using the new System K4 machine, Tiffany’s cleaning process doesn’t pose a risk to the Earth or animals.
Louis Louis: The new Louis Vuitton at the Bellagio is now open. Designed to look like a Parisian apartment, it offers Maison’s men’s and women’s leather goods, with a special focus on exotic and made-to-order pieces, as well as belts, sunglasses and accessories. The store is laid out in three distinct rooms with a domed-ceiling rotunda connecting them.
Snip, Snip: The second annual Cut-A-Thon to benefit Locks of Love will return from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 17 at Rio Spa & Salon at the Rio. The event will be held in honor of Rylie Cruz, who lost her battle with cancer last month and was the granddaughter of a longtime Rio employee. Generous patrons who donate at least 10-inches of nonbleached, nonhighlighted hair will get a complimentary blunt cut and 30 percent discount on additional styling or color treatments at the salon. Qua Kudos: Conde Nast Traveler recently recognized Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars as one of the Top 100 Resort Spas in the United States in the June issue. The lavish Roman-inspired spa ranked 53rd with an overall score of 91 out of 100. The spa’s Sleep Health treatment was also spotlighted as one of the top new industry trends. The restorative treatment combines a 75-minute aromatherapy massage with guided sleep meditation hypnosis.
Chic Charity: In collaboration with Lauren Bush, co-founder of FEED projects, Clarins joins the fight against worldwide hunger with the goal of feeding 1 million underprivileged children in two years. To help do so, it has launched the Clarins FEED 15 pouch that contains hand and nail treatment cream, moisture-rich body lotion and lip perfector. Each $30 sale will provide 15 nutritious meals to children around the world. It’s available at Nordstrom now.
Sky’s the Limit: OpenSky, a new social network for shopping, has launched. It’s been described as Twitter meets HSN in that visitors can connect with their favorite celebrities and experts to get regular recommendations on products they love. There are currently 50 different curators in style, food, design and health. They include Bobby Flay, Padma Lakshmi, Cynthia Rowley, Molly Sims and Valerie Waters.
On Target: Target is partnering with internationally renowned designer Josie Natori to introduce its first limited-edition collection of lingerie and loungewear. Josie Natori for Target features bras, panties, sleepwear, loungewear, camis and chemises ranging from $9.99-$34.99 and will launch in October. Target also will partner with designers Albertus Swanepoel and Dana Kellin to introduce two affordable limited-edition accessories collections in time for the holidays.
Open Up Shop: The international thrift retailer Savers has opened its sixth Las Vegas store at 8530 W. Lake Mead Blvd. The new store has even more unexpected treasures and houses a community donation center benefitting Safe Nest and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
Best in Show: A recent Consumer Reports customer care poll ranked Dillard’s as the best big-box store. Kmart, Sam’s Club and Walmart ranked last. The sales staff at each store was used as the yardstick for rankings.

Las Vegas Premium Outlets South (previously Las Vegas Outlet Center) has expanded and rebranded itself. Now open are Guess Factory Store, Loft Outlet, Michael Kors, True Religion Brand Jeans, Under Armor, New Balance Factory Store and Coach Men’s. The following stores are coming soon: Banana Republic Factory Store, Gap Outlet and Puma.
Fabulous Forum: The Forum Shops at Caesars will welcome the following boutiques by the end of fall: Hublot; Rimowa; Panerai; and Sephora.
