McDonald wins Design Excellence award
Kimberly Joi McDonald, principal of Designing Joi, recently won third place for residential remodel in the American Society of Interior Designers, Central California/Nevada Chapter’s first Design Excellence awards.
The awards ceremony was held in late September in Sacramento.
McDonald submitted her Modern Vintage Hollywood Glamour bedroom design for an 11-year-old girl who is an aspiring actress and loves drama.
“I am happy, humbled and, yes, always striving for design excellence,” she said after winning the award.
Entries in the contest were judged by members of ASID’s Arizona chapter.
