Poetry contest: Helen: A Literary Magazine plans its second Helen Stewart Poetry competition open to Clark County residents. The deadline is Feb. 1. Las Vegas Writers Conference: The annual event hosted by the Henderson Writers’ Group is slated for April 20-22 at Sam’s Town, 5111 Boulder Highway.
