Bryan Elementary teacher earns recognition for 35 years of Jump Rope For Heart

Students at Bryan Elementary School, 8050 Cielo Vista Ave., take part in a schoolwide event Jan. 30 in honor of the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope For Heart. That day, Bryan physical education teacher Pius Lynch was recognized by the association for his 35th straight year of participation in the event, a youth awareness program designed to teach kids how to keep their hearts healthy while raising donations to help others with heart problems. The association presented Lynch with an Achievement Award that will hang on the wall that also displays his 25th- and 30th-year awards. (Special to View) (Click for more photos)
