A car struck a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Henderson, injuring five people Monday afternoon, according to the Henderson Police Department.

The crash happened around 2 p.m., according to police, at 9925 S. Eastern Ave. (just north of St. Rose Parkway). The five people injured in the crash were taken to a hospital.

The restaurant’s owner, Dave Taplin, said the location is temporarily closed. Staff are working to reopen the restaurant by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, pending code enforcement and health department approvals.

The crash is under investigation. Police said no other details would be provided.

That restaurant, along with another in Henderson, were Chick-fil-A’s first two outlets in Southern Nevada. Both opened to much fanfare in January 2017.
