More than two dozen people were displaced after a large fire at an east valley apartment complex Friday afternoon.
The fire was initially reported about 3:50 p.m., according to dispatch logs. It started in a two-story apartment building at the 308 Steelhead Lane complex, near the intersection of Stewart Avenue and North Nellis Boulevard.
The Clark County fire department sent at least eight engines, and more than 50 firefighters responded to the blaze.
The fire left 14 adults and 11 children from several different units displaced, and the Southern Nevada Red Cross was assisting those families. No one was injured.
Firefighters were working to determine the cause and assess the damages Friday night.
