5-year-old shoots self in northeast Las Vegas
A child in the northeast valley shot himself in the hand Sunday morning, police said.
The 5-year-old boy shot himself in the finger just before 9:20 a.m. on the 4700 block of Luxor Way, near Lamb and Las Vegas boulevards, Las Vegas police said.
He was taken to University Medical Center, Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Grant Rogers said.
The boy’s mother was home at the time of the shooting, Rogers said.
Detectives from Metro’s abuse and neglect unit are on the scene at the home and hospital, he said.
