Apartment fire displaces one adult

A central valley apartment fire displaced an adult Monday afternoon, the Clark County Fire Department said in a statement.

Just before 3:40 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a fire at 2615 Lynnwood St, near East Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road, the release said. Upon arrival, firefighters saw smoke and flames coming from the roof of a two-story, apartment building.

Crews extinguished the fire within 10 minutes and kept it from spreading. The fire’s cause is under investigation, and the American Red Cross is helping the displaced person, the Fire Department said.

No injuries were reported and damages haven’t been estimated, the release said.
