Cabbie hit by car at McCarran International Airport

A cabbie was hospitalized Thursday after being struck by a vehicle at McCarran International Airport, according to Las Vegas police.

It happened at the departures curb at Terminal 1 when a cab driver outside his vehicle was hit by a passing car, airport spokesman Chris Jones said.

Fire and police responded at 12:22 p.m.

The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with a foot injury that does not appear to be life-threatening, Metro spokesman Jesse Roybal said.

It was not immediately known how the other vehicle hit the man.
